Thursday 11/5 - Progressive run - 8.5 miles
I had to get up at 5:00 to get out the door and get my workout in to be up at a meeting in the middle of The Woodlands by 8:00. The original workout was 2 x 1 mile and 2 x 800, but I knew that I would run bad times that early in the morning so I just decided to do a progressive run instead. The run went ok, but I didn't feel very smooth and I was stumbling quite a bit and my form felt pretty sloppy. My splits were 7:05, 6:40, 6:29, 6:15, 5:59, 5:48, 5:35. I had planned on finishing with a 5:30 mile and then doing a 1.5 mile cooldown. I never felt like I was pushing it that hard and I probably could have dropped down into the 5:20's if I had more time.
